Frequently Asked Questions
What is Rembrandt van Wine?
Rembrandt van Wine is a two-hour sip-and-paint workshop with a unique twist. Alongside the traditional painting experience in a dimly lit setting, there is a strong emphasis on mingling in a semi-dark, non-judgemental atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new people or discover unexpected facets of those you think you know well.
Rembrandt van Wine is all about enjoying yourself, stepping outside your comfort zone, and learning something new. This is certainly not your typical night out— come and give it a go!
What is included in the price?
Everything you require for the paint and sip experience is included: art supplies, a canvas, a skilled host & art instructor, music, and plenty of enjoyment. Moreover, all drinks are complimentary. Plus, you get to take your canvas (piece of art) home with you afterwards!
Where is Rembrandt van Wine located?
We have a lovely studio located just a 10-minute walk from Finsbury Park. The exact address is 159-163 Marlborough Road, but the simplest way to find us is by searching for “Rembrandt van Wine London” on Google Maps (or by clicking this link). Feel free to arrive 10 minutes before the event starts, when we’ll open our doors and greet you with a warm smile!
How long before an event should I arrive?
We open our doors ten minutes prior to the event. It’s best to arrive approximately ten to five minutes before the event begins (the start time can be found on our website and in the email you received after booking), then you have some time to settle in before we begin with the actual painting.
Can I bring my artwork home after the event?
Of course, you can take your artwork home with you. You made it, so it’s only right that you get to display it above your bed (or anywhere else you choose)!
Do I need to bring my own art supplies?
No, there’s no need to bring anything along. We’ll provide everything you need to craft your masterpiece, including an apron to protect your lovely clothes from any neon paint splashes!
Do I need painting experience?
All skill levels are welcome at the Rembrandt van Wine painting sessions. Our art instructors are on hand to assist you at every stage, whether it’s your first experience or you’re a seasoned painter. That said, you’re not obliged to follow our instructors; feel free to let your creativity flow and express yourself in your own unique style. The choice is yours!
What types of paintings can I expect to create at Rembrandt van Wine?
Are food and drinks provided during the paint and sip?
All drinks are included; you don’t need to bring anything with you. However, we do not provide food during regular events, nor is there an option to order any. Since the event lasts for two hours, we recommend having a bite beforehand if you think you might get hungry. For private events, we can arrange cold and warm snacks to suit your preferences.
Are there non-alcoholic options?
Yes, we provide both non-alcoholic wine and a diverse selection of soft drinks. If you have a particular drink in mind, please get in touch with us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
How long is a Rembrandt van Wine painting session?
A Rembrandt van Wine event lasts for two hours. We’ve found that this is the ideal length for a bit of painting, sipping, and socialising! While we might run over by five or ten minutes occasionally, we generally aim to wrap things up after two hours. Feel free to arrive ten minutes early before the event begins.
What is the age limit for attending a Rembrandt van Wine event?
We do not have an age limit. However, as alcohol is served, we encourage each parent to assess whether they feel comfortable having their child in that environment. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@rembrandtvanwine.co.uk . If you’re interested in organising a private event exclusively for children, we’d be delighted to help. We can swap the wine for lemonade and ensure it’s the best children’s party ever!
Can I join a Rembrandt van Wine night solo?
Yes, definitely! Life is far too short to miss out on experiences just because you’re on your own. Our host is particularly dedicated to ensuring that even those who attend solo have a fantastic time.
Can I make a group reservation?
Yes, you absolutely can! You have two options: either purchase the number of tickets your group requires for one of our paint and sip events via our event calendar.
Alternatively, we can organise a private event exclusively for you and your group. Just drop us an email at info@rembrandtvanwine.co.uk with your group size, preferred date, and any other relevant details, and we’ll ensure to create something truly special just for you!
What is the price for a private painting event?
There isn’t a set price for private events. Factors like the number of attendees, date and time, type of snacks, and more can influence the overall cost, making it either more affordable or pricier. The quickest way to determine the cost of a private event is to complete this form.
What is the maximum group size for a private painting session?
We can comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests at our venue near Finsbury Park. For larger groups, we can arrange an external event at a different location. If your group is smaller, that’s perfectly fine too; we organise private events for groups of 10 or more.
What if I can't make it on the date I have a ticket for?
If you can’t make it on the date you planned to join we offer you to freely reschedule to a new date.
Do note that we only offer this service up until 5 days in advance, as otherwise it might be impossible for us to re-sell your ticket.
If you find out that you can’t make it within 5 days of the event then we offer you to freely change the names on the tickets so you can make someone else happy with a night at Rembrandt van Wine.
