What is Rembrandt sip & paint?
Rembrandt van Wine is a two-hour sip-and-paint workshop with a unique twist. Alongside the traditional painting experience in a dimly lit setting, there is a strong emphasis on mingling in a semi-dark, non-judgemental atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new people or discover unexpected facets of those you think you know well. Rembrandt van Wine is all about enjoying yourself, stepping outside your comfort zone, and learning something new. This is certainly not your typical night out — come and give it a go!
Where are the Rembrandt sip & paint art studios located?
We have two lovely studios in London. The first studio is located in Angel, a very short 2-minute walk away from the tube station. Easiest way to find the studio is by typing in Paint & Sip Rembrandt Angel on Google Maps (or by clicking this link). The second studio is located just a 10-minute walk from Finsbury Park & Archway. The exact address is 159-163 Marlborough Road, but the simplest way to find us is by searching for "Rembrandt van Wine Paint & Sip Finsbury Park" on Google Maps (or by clicking this link). Feel free to arrive 10 minutes before the event starts, when we'll open our doors and greet you with a warm smile!
Are there non-alcoholic options?
Yes, we provide a diverse selection of soft drinks. If you have a particular drink in mind, please get in touch with us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
What is the age limit for attending a Rembrandt van Wine event?
We do not have an age limit and everyone who likes to get creative is welcome. However, as alcohol is served, we encourage each parent to assess whether they feel comfortable having their child in that environment. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@rembrandtvanwine.co.uk . If you're interested in organising a private event exclusively for children, we’d be delighted to help. We can swap the wine for lemonade and ensure it’s the best children's party ever!
Paint & Sip questions
What is included in the price?
Everything you need for a great paint and sip experience: Art supplies, a canvas, a great host, an experienced art instructor, singalong music, and a great amount of fun. Also, all drinks are on us!Plus, you get to bring your painting home afterwards!
How long before an event should I arrive?
We open our doors ten minutes prior to the event. It’s best to arrive approximately ten to five minutes before the event begins (the start time can be found on our website and in the email you received after you booked), then you have some time to settle in before we begin with the actual painting.
Can I bring my artwork home after the event?
Of course, you can take your artwork home with you. You made it, so it’s only right that you get to display it above your bed (just a suggestion)!
Do I need to bring my own art supplies?
No, there's no need to bring anything to our studio. We’ll provide everything you need to craft your masterpiece, including an apron to protect your lovely clothes from any neon paint splashes!
Do I need painting experience?
No, painters of all levels are welcome at the Rembrandt van Wine painting sessions.
The art instructor is there to help you at every step along the way, no matter whether it is your first time or your name is Rembrandt and you want to focus on developing a specific painting technique.
However, you can also embrace your creative mind and paint it your own way. It is up to you!
What types of paintings can I expect at Rembrandt van Wine?
We frequently change the paintings for our events. For the latest information, you can visit our event calendar where all the options are displayed.
Important note: You’re always free to paint whatever you like; there’s no obligation for anyone to replicate the featured painting of the day. If you host a private event with us, you can select the painting that you and your group would like to create.
Are food and drinks provided during the paint and sip?
Drinks are all taken care of, they are on us. No need to bring anything yourself. Food is another story. During a regular event we do not serve food and there is no option to order it either. The event lasts for 2 hours so if you are afraid you will be hungry then please eat something beforehand. It is possible to arrange cold and warm snacks at a private event, depending on your wishes.
How long does a Rembrandt van Wine paint & sip last for?
A Rembrandt van Wine event lasts for approximately two hours. We've found that this is the ideal length for a bit of painting, sipping, and socialising! While we might run over by five or ten minutes, we generally aim to wrap things up after two hours. Feel free to arrive ten minutes early before the event begins.
Can I join an event solo?
Yes, you can! We even hold some spare tickets behind for cool people wanting to come solo, just send us a message and we will get it sorted (even when an event is sold-out). Rembrandt van Wine is all about having fun, getting out of your comfort zone and learning something new while meeting new people!
Can I make a group reservation
Yes you can do this. There are two options here, you can either buy as many tickets as your group needs for one of the events through our paint and sip event calendar.
We can also organise a private event just for you and your group. Fill in this form and we will reach out to you to organise something super fun together.
What is the price for a private painting event?
Private event prices start from £42 per person. The quickest way to determine the cost of a private event is to complete this form and we will get back to you ASAP!
What is the maximum group size for a private painting session?
We can comfortably accommodate up to 45 people at our Paint & Sip studio. For larger groups, we can arrange an external event at a different location. If your group is smaller, that's perfectly fine too; we organise private events for groups of 10 or more.
What if I can't make it on the date I have a ticket for?
If you can't make it on the date you planned to join we offer you to freely reschedule to a new date. Please note that we only offer this service up until 5 days in advance, as otherwise it might be impossible for us to re-sell your ticket. If you find out that you can't make it within 5 days of the event then we offer you to freely change the names on the tickets so you can make someone else happy with a night at Rembrandt van Wine.
Do you offer refunds?
No, we don't offer refunds unfortunately but if you can't make it on the date you planned to join we do offer you to freely reschedule to a new date. Please note that we only offer this service up until 5 days in advance, as otherwise it might be impossible for us to re-sell your ticket. If you find out that you can't make it within 5 days of the event then we offer you to freely change the names on the tickets so you can make someone else happy with a night at Rembrandt van Wine. For private events things are slightly different: 100 percent refund when cancelling more than 3 weeks in advance of the exact starting time of the event. 50 percent refund when cancelling between 1-3 weeks in advance of the exact starting time of the event. 0 percent refund when cancelling within 7 days of the event of the exact starting time of the event.
